Dr. Craig Basman has a dual role as a Structural Interventionalist in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and as an Interventional Cardiologist in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Northern Westchester Hospital. After completing his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Internal Medicine, Dr. Basman completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology and Structural and Congenital Heart Disease at Lenox Hill Heart and Lung/Northwell Health. His clinical interests and expertise revolve around both the practice of Structural/Congenital Heart Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Basman has published numerous articles in the field of Cardiovascular medicine, book chapters and presented at local and national conferences. Dr. Basman is involved in multiple clinical trials involving transcatheter valvular therapies (including CLASP TR, SUMMIT, SYNIVUS and FLASH and FLAME trials). Dr. Basman also serves as the Interventional Director of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) at Northern Westchester Hospital.
